Dear 2818

Diwa means Light and the Indian festival of Diwali exist within us all. At the time of dark days of life we should focus and remember to let our own inner light shine brightly and get away from the darkness.

Let’s be more authentic and diverse, show our real self and not just the filter-ised highlights. We all have a role, it’s our responsibility to have a voice-we can effect change by being brave and bold. All humans share one spirit. All humans share one consciousness. But yet we want to be separated, like ‘My life, my ideas. We don’t realise that all us humans share a huge pool of consciousness, of thought. All our thoughts vibrates at a certain frequency, we’re all in communication. When you exhale, I breathe the air you breathe, we’re all together, really! This is the way nature designed it. So that we will be sharing the earth together.

One of my favourite quote goes “you don’t need to be perfect to inspire others. Let people get inspired by how you deal with your imperfections”.

Spirituality is not really what we generally think it is. Spirituality, at the end of the day, is about how much you do for others. It is as simple as that. There are other things involved, like what spiritual practices you do and your understanding etc. But really, all those things are secondary to that one main point: What do you do for others? How much have you given up for others? How much do you sacrifice for the sake of the world as a whole?

When we speak about the crisis in different parts of the world, we are speaking of the crisis of humanity. This concerns all of us. Please don’t let the fear of not knowing where to start hold you back in helping in any way you can.

I wish I could donate and take care of all the suffering that’s happening but we can all do something. Giving to charity is neither charitable nor generous; it is no more than our duty and not giving would be wrong and the cost of doing so is a morally insignificant reduction in our standard of living.

I have always known that the more I give the more I receive. Maybe that’s why whatever I wish for I always get.
